Reskilling Festival is a chance for anyone who has any skills to share, and anyone who would like to learn, to get together, share practical skills, stories, ideas, lunch, seeds, recipes and lots of fun. The inaugural Reskilling Festival will take place at Glandore Community Centre, and the adjacent leafy park and community garden, on Saturday 16 April 2011.Reskilling Festival can be whatever you want it to be. It is a self-organising event, and requires everyone who attends to contribute to making it a success. There are no spectators, only participants!There is no cost to attend, and no-one is paid for participating. The aim is for a completely money-free event. Some activities that might happen at the festival (only if you make them) include: skillshare workshops seed swap table potluck shared lunch cob oven cooking jam session (with musical instruments) jam session (with fruit and preserving jars) craft circle garden tour soapbox really really free market expo of community group stalls storytelling face painting, busking, bubble blowing and chalk murals blackboard concert skillshare workshops might include: organic gardening, food fermentation, knitting, meeting facilitation, keeping chickens, fixing bikes, food foraging, improv theatre, kite making, co-operative games, homeschooling, self defence, wilderness survival, dancing, raw food diet, sewing, critical thinking, map reading, weather forecasting, seed saving, conflict resolution, drawing, ecological design, biodynamics, bush foods, soil testing, guerilla gardening, greywater, grafting.
