Open Shell Farm

Open Shell Farm is one of the projects of SWAYYAM and is a demonstration and a learning centre for Regenerative farming using Permaculture and Agorecology principles With Open Shell Farm, we began our work in year 2014 on the ecological regeneration of a small piece of barren and degraded land located next to the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in the hills of the Western Ghats. The site is located close to a village which in an idyllic location with overlooking mountains. The sight of cowherds and shepherds driving their animals to the nearby forests, the curious village children, the intermittent bus service, the temples and the village life is something to experience.
