Quaking Aspen Permaculture is a high elevation dryland project located in suburban Flagstaff, AZ Quaking Aspen Permaculture began in 2004 with the conversion of a conventional suburban home fully equipped with a water intensive lawn on about a 1/4 acre. It has not been irrigated with city water in over 4 years, which is quite the feat for a lush food producing garden in Arizona! City and county officials as well as local resident have come by to learn the basics of rainwater harvesting, legal greywater system design, and permaculture.
