Quinta dos 7 Nomes is an ecological coop, created for formation in organic farming and permaculture community purposes In Colares, Sintra, based in a small near one acre farm, is Quinta dos 7 Nomes, a project born from the will of 50 founder associates. Since 2007 it became a meeting point for people around Sintra who intend to live in a more sustainable way. With a grocery shop selling exclusively organic and ecological products, with a preference for local products, a demonstration and teaching field for formation purposes, with courses in Permaculture, Bio-construction, Organing Farming, Carpentry, Herbal Pharmacy, and many other activities, and a parcel created for community farming, to give associates an opportunity to produce thei own vegetables.
