Rural Innovation Campus - Pemba

The Rural Innovation Campus is a barrier-free learning hub that provides a platform for rural Pembans seeking to pilot new farming techniques, innovative forestry practices, renewable energy solutions and green building technologies. The Rural Innovation Campus is home to Community Forests Pemba (CFP), a local NGO working to help rural Pemban communities adapt to climate change and restore their fragile island. CFP staff host educational programming and manage appropriate tech and permaculture demonstration activities onsite while carrying out ongoing extension work and community-based actions.
