Terrell House Permaculture Living & Learning Center is a Stillwater SHIFT, Inc. and University of Maine Office of Sustainability collaborative project. Terrell House Permaculture Living & Learning Center (PLLC) is the first on-campus permaculture demonstration site at the University of Maine. The center is operated by resident stewards from Maine nonprofit Stillwater SHIFT, Inc., in collaboration with the University of Maine's Office of Sustainability and Facilities Management. The mission of Terrell House PLLC is to provide an innovative, interdisciplinary hub for university departments, student groups, and community organizations to work together in building a more sustainable world through collaborative research and service learning. The project's areas of focus include food security, appropriate technologies, community revitalization, and ecological restoration; Terrell House PLLC is actively seeking collaborators interested in these and related subjects.
