Windward

Windward is a cooperative community of over thirty years dedicated to preserving and developing village scale technologies needed to support a thriving sustainable community on marginal land. We are continuing to advance the ecological agriculture practices suitable for our land,  while working within the existing infrastructure that was put in place over communities history. We are engaged in the whole spectrum of what a community needs. including Food, clothing, building materials, fuel and energy, forage and craft materials, and the cooperative social structures needed to hold a culture (people + a life way + capital + knowledge and values) together over the course of generations.
